The After 3 program and the Kiwanis club of Glen Cove have joined together to create a Builders Club. The children who participate will do a variety of community services. hey meet 4-5pm for more information on the After 3 Program contact Spiro Tsirkas


Community Action Using Student Empowerment (C.A.U.S.E.): Collaborative between the Glen Cove Youth Bureau and City School District.  Class consists of seniors who interviewed as juniors and were accepted into the course as “junior club members”.  This class empowers its students to make positive changes within their lives, school and community.  Student are actively involved in decision making including selecting, planning and carrying out service projects.

Youth Council: Members consist of middle and high school youth.  Students are provided with an open forum to foster communication, information and advocacy on community and youth related services.  Youth have taken part in various projects including holiday food drives, baking for the Ronald McDonald House-LI, Breakfast with the Bunny, clothing donations, and Milk & Cookies with Santa.  Student travel annually to Albany and participate in the NYS Association of Youth Bureaus Youth Leadership Forum where they advocate to local politicians and for continued funding related to youth programming and services.  

  • Past projects included “Go Green” Campaign, Youth Center holiday parties, holiday food drives,
  • NYS Youth Leadership Forum, clothing donation to local men’s shelter,
  • Breakfast with the Bunny, & volunteering at various city wide events including
  • 4th of July Bike Parade, PRIDE Family Awareness Day,
  • Milk & Cookies with Santa, &
  • September 11 Memorial.
